Thursday Night Fun Shoots (50M Range)

May 14 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Thursday Night Fun Shoots are modeled after various action shooting sports.  It is an opportunity for new shooters with no exposure to action shooting to be introduced to action shooting.  Experienced shooters are able to practice their skills.

Under supervision of a Range Officer (RO), shooters will navigate stages that may involve movement, targets in non-standard locations, reactive targets, or transitioning between firearms.  Sometimes all of the above.

Each Thursday Fun Shoot will be modeled after a different shooting style such as Steel Challenge, IPSC, IDPA, Multigun, etc.  What will be happening on, and what will be required for, any given night will be described in the Match information posted to Practiscore.com.

A general firearm for most shoots would be a semi-automatic mag fed of rimfire or pistol caliber – pistol or rifle/carbine.  But, people have been competitive with other types like lever actions – it is about having fun.  Recommend to have at least 5 magazines.  Shotguns and centerfire rifles may also be used depending on the night’s stages.  Pistol holsters are optional.
