Loss of life from severe blood loss can happen in just a few minutes. Do you know what to do in a bleeding emergency?

In this STOP THE BLEED® course, you’ll learn three quick techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out:

1. How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound.
2. How to pack a wound to control bleeding.
3. How to correctly apply a tourniquet.

These three techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life.

This course does not replace first aid training. Rather, it enhances the participant’s abilities to control major life-threatening bleeding that can occur in many of the activities club members participate in, as well as our daily life. Motor vehicle accidents, OHV accidents, recreational events, or sport-related injuries can and will happen in remote locations where help is far away. For a bystander or the first person on the scene, having the skills to manage massive bleeding could save a life.

Time & Location

This session will be held at the clubhouse at our Ketchamoot Creek facility. The morning session will start at 8:00 a.m. sharp & the afternoon session will start at 1:00 p.m. sharp, so plan to arrive a little early.

Minimum Attendance Age

Youth under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult participant.

FAQs

What happens if there’s bad weather?

This is an indoor session. Unless the weather poses safety conditions, this event will proceed.

What should do I need to bring?

Participants only need to bring their interest in taking action in a bleeding emergency.

Refund Policy

We will refund registration fees if an event is cancelled. Outside of that, individual refunds will not be provided. Please ensure your availability prior to booking. Individuals who cannot make the event may transfer their registration to another individual.
