SPFGA Outdoor Woman’s Program
Bushcraft and Wilderness Living Skills
The clubhouse & area are booked all day for this event.
Developed to fulfill our mission, vision, and objectives and to provide participants with direct hands-on experience, this program will develop a woman’s outdoor-related skills and confidence, build a connection with nature and Canada’s rich conservation heritage of hunting, angling, and trapping.
Through a safe and comfortable learning environment, the SPFGA Outdoor Women’s Program will be comprised of five sessions in 2023. The second session of our Women’s Program series, Bushcraft, Survival, & Wilderness Living Skills will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 starting at 10:00 a.m.
Bushcraft, Survival, & Wilderness Living Skills will be lead by Colleen Kiselyk, the Owner and Instructor of Nature Alive Adventures, on on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Colleen will introduce session participants to bushcraft, the art of firecraft, tracking, hunting, shelter building, the use of tools such as knives and axes, foraging, and hand-carving wood to survive and thrive in the natural environment.
Participants only have to bring their interest in learning, as they will be using SPFGA’s knives, ferro rods and axes.
