This event involves shooting primarily rimfire (.22) cartridges at metallic swinging targets taking on the silhouettes of chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams. These are positioned at 4o, 60, 77, and 100 m respectively, with the targets increasing in size with the distance. Larger sized targets are also available that may be used for carbine shooting (9mm to lightly loaded 30 cal) at 100 – 200 m. We also intend to engage these targets with rimfire cartridges for additional challenge and variety.

Due to the size of the larger targets, and the low impact energy of rimfire rifles, electronic flashers mounted on the targets are used to signal successful hits.
