Rimfire Raceguns is a low-cost version of Steel Challenge, and a fast competition using any .22lr pistol or rifle.

There are 5 predefined stages that consist of steel targets placed at distances from 10 to 35 m. The competitor must score hits anywhere on each target, with time being the deciding factor. The competitor is taken, one at a time under the supervision of an RSO, and gets 5 chance to shoot a stage, with their worst time being discarded. There is, effectively, no movement involved by the competitor. Once all the competitors have shot, the stage is torn down and replaced with the next one.

Rimfire Raceguns differs from Steel Challenge by the cartridges used. Steel Challenge allows any pistol cartridge in the form of a pistol or a pistol-cartridge carbine (PCC).

Rimfire Raceguns is an excellent complement to our existing .22 rimfire programs and brings in another low-cost, family-friendly option for members.
